After windows update on my Windows server 2008 R2 I have issues with starting SC. My previous SC installs will not start and crash. I downloaded the SC installer and installed the newest version in an existing directory. When I select "Run program after Install Complete" SC starts fine. After I exit and restart SC, it will crash again. I have the same issues with a fresh install. Pls advise. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2016-07-10 01:02:10

If you are noticing this with a completely fresh installation of Sierra Chart into a new folder, almost certainly it is going to be some operating system related issue. Not sure this would help, but install this redistributable package again: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I have that installed already. I have a new SC install working now. I copied my config and files in the data dir and it runs fine now. So I am back to normal. Will do this for the other instances of SC as well. |
