Using v1437, I used a .cht file copied from one computer to a second computer. At least one chart was missing when opening in second computer. the computers had somewhat different resolutions, both have two monitors. I used "menu/windows/go to chart number" to attempt to find missing charrt. Got no message and no chart. This whole procedure has worked in the past using older versions of SC.
Wanting to know posible reasons and fixes.

After opening the Chartbook, do you see the chart listed in Window >> Windows and Chartbooks?

If not, that means the chart does not actually exist within the Chartbook.

Yes, Chart is listed in "window >> Windows and Chartbooks". I cannot find it. It was the only chart on monitor 2 in the chartfile used as the source. I then used a usb stick and copied the chartfile to the destination computer which has two monitors both lower resolution than the source computer. I searched thru about 15 charts several times and could not find chart #16. Also command "Go to chart" did not identify it in any visible way.

So we are clear, was this chart detached?

If so, it should automatically be moved by the operating system within the visible view of one of the monitors. We have never known this to be a problem, so there is not anyway to reset it to a default position.

You might just have to create a new chart.

Yes this #16 was detached. Several others which wer clearly found were also detached. But #16 was the only one on the 2nd monitor. This is a highly complex chart with many overlays and alarms. Cannot re make. Tonight I will make all charts in sourece file as attached, then try the transfer again. Unless you have other ideas.

If you right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Cascade windows, that will arrange the windows and should make it visible. Try that.

We will also see about adding an Attach button to the Windows and Chartbooks window to reattach a chart.

Thankyou for assistance. Have now found missing window. It was off screen on the 2nd monitor due to the lower resolution of the target computer. It was larger than the monitor. it's edge showed after additional non-SC screens were opened.
