How can I color the background of a portion of a study panel ?
For example: If CCI is in panel 2, it has lines for +- 100. I want to color background above +100 and different color below -100.
I did attempt to find in the index, no luck.
Thanks for any help

Take a look at the attached chart. If that's what you looking for, then apply the attached study collection to a new chart to see how I did it.

Thankyou jackw, That is exactly what I had in mind. I will check out your study collection and learn the method and maybe can extend to more complex situations.

If you are willing to deal with 2nd question: I am poorly experienced using color bars. My Question:
If I use a study, like CCI line draw in panel 1, and the built-in color choices for CCI are not what I want; Can the CCI line be colored by alert logic based on the values of a different study in another panel??

Follow this link to SC documentation on the 'Color Bar Based on Alert Condition':
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s252

Then scroll down to the section titled 'Coloring Subgraphs of Other Studies' for step-by-step instructions.

I found it. Thanks again. I had spent many hours scanning the instruction manual before I asked. Locating draw styles and color fill modes were very challenging. Now the greater challenge is to use them efficiently. Change career from trader to system creator.
