Hello, Before installing the latest version of Sierra Chart, I had several types of lines pre-configured with buttons for them on a toolbar. I have had names of those types of lines displayed in my charts. After installing the latest version, the "config name" option disappeared from the configuration of a specific pre-configured line and the name of the line is no longer displaying in my chart. Old lines still have the name, however when I add a new line by clicking any button of my pre-configured lines I get a line without the config name displayed. The option to "Copy config name to text" is gray. The only way how to get the display of names back I have found so far is to configure the tools again which is not very convenient. Oh, I am not sure but I think that recently I have always updated as soon as I got a notification. So I guess it was the previous or the one pre-previous version. Thanks. |

This requires far too much analysis for us to know what is going on and has happened in your specific case. Also what you are describing is not totally clear from our perspective. We are not aware of anything that has changed which would cause this problem as best as we can understand what you are describing. The option to "Copy config name to text" is gray. Thanks. Yes, I found the explanation in the documentation before I wrote to you. What I cannot find is a way how to edit my already configured (customized) tool. Is there a way? Thanks and best regards, H. |

Do you mean the drawing already on the chart? Or the Control Bar buttons? Both of these can be easily changed.

Thanks. I meant the configuration. The old lines that I drew in my charts using my pre-configured buttons had their names displayed on the chart (via the "Copy config name to text") however when I wanted to draw a new line using the same pre-configured buttons, the name did not display, only the price. Now, I have already found the way of editing the configuration of the line. For some unknown reason the "copy config name to text" was unchecked so I rechecked it and it works now.
