Crazy, but entering a stock's symbol does not generate a chart for that stock. Can you help? Thanks

You need to use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service for stock data:

Or activate the US Equities exchange here:

Thank you for your reply.
1) I have subscribed to service pack 3- this should enable me to use Sierra chart historical data for stock data. Also, from Global Settings>DTS>allow for SC historical data box has been Checked.
2) I have also paid for historical charts for NYSE, AMEX and Nasdaq.
3) I have also activated and paid for 100 real time symbols in the market data feed features link.

Still no stock charts.

You cannot get historical data for stocks when using the Gain Capital/OEC Trader Service unless you have activated the US Equities exchange.

You will need to install another copy of Sierra Chart and use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service. Here are the instructions:

This confuses.

The link to SCHDS says there are two routes one can go.

One route is to use multiple services: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time

Another route is to Integrate with trading services: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Integration with Trading Services

Which way am I suppose to go?

The integration with trading services only applies if you were to activate the "US equities" exchange for 10.50 per month.

Otherwise you do need to install another instance of Sierra Chart.

And the cost of another instance of Sierra Chart is another $20 a month right? So better to activate US equities exchange for $10.50 a month yes?

No this is not correct. There is no charge for other instances of Sierra Chart.

There is only a cost when using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed directly into another instance of Sierra Chart, which you do not need in this case.

I have followed all the steps to install another instance of Sierra Chart and still can not pull up stock charts.
I will need remote support I believe for this.

In this other instance of Sierra Chart, let us know what Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >>Service is set to.
