I have been trying to understand how I can use Sierra chart to compile some statistics on the markets I trade. The type of stats I’m trying to mine are related to price action in relation to studies. For example using the TPO profile “If price makes an “opening drive” in/out of range how often will trade to VPOC before session end?” or “If price breaches ADR how often will it trade back to opening price, opposite extreme of day etc in the same session. I believe I the Auto trade/ Spreadsheet functionality may be what I need to use but I have been struggling to get to grips with it (I'm not a coder) and wondered if there was some way I can get help with this? ideally if someone on support could set up an example template based on criteria for example the criteria above?

This is not within the scope of our support.

Just reading this, this does not sound simple to accomplish. Sierra Chart does not have any straightforward support for something like this. Perhaps it is not hard to do, but it is not obvious.

I was thinking it might be possible to set up an automated trading strategy to mimic the scenarios I wanted analyse. e.g. One of the simpler scenarios I wanted to check is how frequently do opening gaps fill over x days/trading sessions. Variables to include if the gap is over x ticks, results to output how many days does it take for thew gap to fill. So could I set up a automated trading strategy to mimic this? I'm only interested in knowing the number of times gaps fill or don't fill over x days and how long it takes for the gap to fill.

I know this is quite a complex request and greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

thanks in advance.
