With this new DTC server functionality, would it allow me to run SierraChart on a server at my home in Germany (Amp/TTnet), and trade the same account from another instance of SC running on my PC in Thailand?

The problem in Thailand is, even though I have several backup internet providers, when I lose my connection (power outage or internet down), I always have to wait at least one minute until TTnet will allow reconnection, whereas power outages or internet disconnections are very rare in Germany.

So not only would I have server-side OCO and bracket order functionality, but I should also be able to immediately reconnect on a backup PC, if internet/power problems occur in Thailand, right?

Would chart data and order transmission be delayed with this setup?

Yes you can do this.

You will have server-side OCO and bracket functionality with this configuration.

And we see no reason why there would be any problems with connection delays as long as the connectivity between the two locations is present.

We actually realize now why you cannot connect for a minute when using TT FIX because a second connection is not allowed until it is determined that the first connection has been lost which takes some time because there is not a normal log off.

With the DTC Server that will not happen because it allows multiple connections at a time.

Could I also have SC running on a rented virtual server instead of actually setting up a server at home?
