In my study, i want to be notified when i start drawing a line by pressing the mouse button, and the mouse button is not released yet, then i can highlight some bars and give some tips in the study

it writes: These Pointer events are only passed to custom studies on the chart when the active tool is Tools >> Pointer, Tools >> Chart Values, or Tools >> Hand (Version 1374 and higher).
when i'm drawing a line, the active tool will be Tools >> Line, as the document described, those events can't be passed

Is there a reason why pointer events cannot be monitored with a drawing tool enabled?

I'd like to use a horizontal ray, capture its price (via mouse button monitoring) in a persistent variable and modify orders when this is hit.
