My OS: WIndows 10, my SC version:1406
I am using the latest SC, but failed to load proper Chart Settings window (and all other windows). Actually, some other menus have similar problems.

1. I set some charts to be auto-opened on start, but some of them failed to be loaded properly (shown in red part in attached).
2. I re-saved the failed chats and re-opened, the problem did existed.
3. I failed to attach Trade Window to some chart (DIS, PYPL etc), but sometimes it is ok. However, when I restart SC and re-open, the same problem.
4. In the attached, all charts opened on start are listed, red portion include all charts failed to be properly saved and opened.

The source of all of this is going to be a system specific issue. This is going to be a problem with limited memory on the system and running too many programs.

Increase the amount of memory on the system, we recommend that you have at least 8GB to 12 GB.

You must also use multiple instances of Sierra Chart for your Chartbooks. Might be a good idea to use two additional instances. This is easily accomplished. Follow the instructions here:

Reduce the number of programs running on your system and also use multiple Sierra Chart instances as explained in post #3.

Exit the additional instances of Sierra Chart you are running.

Follow the instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php#UsingDTCServerForDataAndTradingInAnotherSCInstance

Use the File >> Run New Instance command as documented. This is the easiest and most reliable way to run additional instances.

If necessary you might need to follow the instructions here to resolve port number conflicts:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php#ResolvingDTCProtocolServerPortNumberConflicts

However, this should not be needed.

I can run the instance now, but have some questions about it:
(1) How many symbols can I run on this instance simultaneously and where are the live stock data from through this DTC based instance?
(2) How many instances can I run at the same time on the same PC?
(3) Does it have PC memory limit to run the instance?

1. You have to make that determination. We do not know. There certainly is no symbol limit. The data originates from the main instance.

2. As many as you want.

3. Yes, as we understand the question.
