Can anyone give me an idea how to mark or create an alert to show a gap between the close of a bar and the next bar's open? Thanks in advance.

You will need to apply the Alert to the Main Price Graph: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AlertCondAndScan.html#EnterAlertOnMainPriceGraph A possible formula (Close of last bar not equal to the current bar open): =C[-1] <> O Sierra Chart Support |
