I've run into a chart scale problem when "Based On" is changed in the study settings.

The simple example is using the SPY ETF and my Custom Stock Index Creator (set to Scale Independent, graph range is very different from displayed price range). All of this is Chart Region 1.

If I want to add moving averages or Bollinger Bands to the Index line, changing the study settings "Based On" is easy enough, but the alignment on the chart will be off. "Display As Main Price Graph" will offer the option for correct alignment, but I lose the SPY ETF in the background.

In the study Scale button, is it possible to add a simple option of "Same As Based On"? My guess is this would just copy the already calculated internal high/low display graph ranges to this instance.

Another problem I run into with moving average and Bollinger Band lines is that they could potentially vertically smash the Index line depending on how late they come into the visual graph and how wide some of the sweeping arcs are if the scale is set to Independent. If the range could be locked with "Same As Based On" to the range of the Index, the excess noise goes off screen and the Index graph won't get vertically smashed.

Thanks
