5% auto trade message

I found the message below in support. I am getting the same message. I read your reply. My trailing stop is less than 2% of the current price. When this happens it sets the price to 0.00 so in essence it removes my trailing stop order.
Help please.


Hi,
I'M trying to track down a bug in someone's code. The message I receive once in a while in an automated system is as follows:

More than 5% difference when calculating new trailing order Price1. Order not modified.

What is the meaning of this message found in the trade service log ant any idea of the potential causes?

We need more details. What is the symbol you are trading? And what are the specifications of the trailing stop including the specific name of the trailing stop.

And do you have the correct Tick Size setting in Chart >> Chart Settings.

I am trading Interactive Brokers feed and accounts. 6E , EUR currency futures symbol with the Tick Size set to 0.0001. My trade specifications for stops reads: Stop All/12T/20T/15T/TrigTrailStop. Name of the trade strategy in the Trade Window is 50TargetBEwTrail.

Also the NQ Mini Nasdaq 100 with Tick Size .25. Stop specs are: Stop All/9T/20T/9T/TrigTrailStop and the name is ES40TargetBEwTrail

Based on this configuration and the symbols, you should not have an error message indicating the Stop adjustment is more than 5 percent. However, we have increased the tolerance to 10 percent.



In a another thread, you mentioned that you are using Trade Management by Study, that can definitely cause problems if the study Subgraphs it is based upon is moving the stop to unreasonable levels.
