Hello support! I have a question about some basic market principles and numbers bars in particular. As far as i can understand total volume is a sum of bid and ask volume. There are situations when max value displays differently in the same bar. When i have total volume display method it shows one value, when i switch to bid x ask it shows another in the same bar. Why does this happen? Maybe i don't understand how to read order flow properly. Please take a look at the pics. 8 tick crude oil chart, bid x ask and total volume, same bar.

In the chart images you have posted, specifically what is the question. It is not clear for us.

The sum of the Bid Volume and Ask volume does equal the total volume for the price levels we looked at.

The question is why does the maximum value for the second bar shown as 32x120 (152 total) where black arrow is and not 204x59 (263 total) where yellow arrow is? 204x59(263) > 32x120(152) right? It is the same 8 tick bar. I can not understand.

The documentation explains this already:

In the case of the Bid Vol x Ask Vol Text type, the price level with the maximum AskVolume for the Numbers Bar column is considered the maximum value and will be highlighted.
