I've been using the TMS to trail stop off of a MA. But now I can't disable it. I have a TMS button assigned as well as a hot key and neither works. I check the study directly and it says it is disabled. I even removed TMS from the studies and it still is enabled somehow. I can even see execution lines in the log file. I need to be able to control the enabling and disabling of the TMS for it to be effective for my needs. Let me know if you log files or whatever. Thanks in advance.

You are referring to Trade Management by Study.

If that has been removed from the chart, then it will no longer modify an order.

Make sure it is removed from all of the charts.

We need to see one of the order lines of the order getting modified to be able to see what is causing that modification. Follow the instructions here:

This is not what we need. We do not know where to look in that log.

We just want a single order line from the Trade Activity Log showing an order modification:

My apologizes. But, for the record, I don't see in the link you provided how to provide a single order line showing an order modification.

Chart: NQH6 Renko 10-7-0 #9 Heikin-Ashi | Study: Trade Management by Study | The Stop/Target order has been modified. Internal Order ID: 8459. New Price: 4113.000000 | 2016-02-03 13:13:55

The section we linked to is titled: Providing Trade Activity Log Data to Support

Anyway, this is what we need to see. It is clear that the Trade Management by Study is modifying the order.

It is located on this chart: NQH6 Renko 10-7-0 #9

If you removed it from that chart, it could not possibly be modifying an order. And if the Enabled input is set to No it also cannot work either.

Ah! I see. NQH6 Renko 10-7-0 #9 Heikin-Ashi caused the TMS modification. But here's the thing, I don't have that chart running. I have: NQH6 Renko 10-7-0 #1 Heikin-Ashi, and on another chartbook tab I have: NQH6 Renko 10-7-0 #4 Heikin-Ashi. Chart 1 and a chart 4 but not a chart 9. I have triple checked this so I am certain of this. The only thing I can conclude is that when I have used the "Duplicate Chart" function, which I use for convenience quite often, that it has introduced some kind of "cross-chart" conflict. Actually, this is the second time this has happened to me. The first time, I uninstalled Sierra, deleted all folders, and reinstalled from scratch. Everything was fine for 5 or 6 weeks and now the problem is back. So, clearly the issue is being introduced by me when I'm working with the charts, duplicating, making changes, etc. How? No clue. For now, I'll delete all currently unnecessary charts and chart book tabs and keep as 'clean' of a charting environment as I can and see how it goes. But, it is obvious to me at least, that something is amiss. I just don't see anyway to provide you the necessary data to act upon.

There is no doubt this chart exists and is currently open:
NQH6 Renko 10-7-0 #9 Heikin-Ashi caused the TMS modification. But here's the thing, I don't have that chart running.

You will find it through Window >> Windows and Chartbooks.

It is there. Just carefully go through the lists.

Yes! I found chart #9 minimized on a chart tab that I wasn't currently working with. Problem solved. Thank you for your assistance.
