Hello. My question is the following is it possible to connect to sierra chart CME data feed for example, have the data run through the DOM and the orders routed to an IB account on the same program instance?

I setup the connections and connected to Interactive Brokers live account in SC but I'm unable to see any data coming through for my Sierra Chart data DOM and to figure out how to use that same connection for sending the orders to IB. I've read through the instructions but it is not 100% clear.

Thanks

Yes. This is explained here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#Integration

Make sure you are using the Interactive Brokers symbols in Sierra Chart connected to Interactive Brokers.

Also make sure the Symbol Settings are up to date:

Thanks. So just to make sure I'm getting this correctly. I just have to sign up for SC - Allow support for SC data feed - Change the service to Interactive Brokers and data will be coming from SC eventhough symbol names are from IB, correct?

In case I do not wish to execute from SC but I'm looking at data from CME, can I solely use the SC data feed Service? On the site I read it is enough if I sign in once a month, which I did and data is coming through but if I don't sign in to my IB account through SC I get the following message in the log: Enabled for: CME (Trading Account Required) | 2016-02-02 05:03:23

Could you help me sort this out, please?

Thanks

Yes

To be able to receive the real-time CME data, it is necessary to be connected to your IB account but it can be a paper trading account as long as you connect at least once a month to the Live account. But you must be connected to your trading account even if it is a paper trading account.

Hello! I have a question from the same topic. Do I understand right, that it is possible to make SC-IB connection to make trades with IB and get data from SC only after purchasing the legal version of SC? In another words - I can not send paper trades from SC to IB while I'm using DEMO version of SC? I just wanted to integrate everything and to try how it works before paying the money. But after I've done everything, like it's written in previous posts, my orders from SC doesn't reach my IB paper trading account. I can receive data from IB, but no opposite way connection.

No, this is not true unless Sierra Chart were in what is considered Free Mode after the trial ends. However, your trial is currently active.

Make sure Trade Simulation Mode is disabled to send orders to Interactive Brokers:

Nice, thank you, now it works. Another question - when connecting DEMO SC to IB with "Allow support for SC data feed" option activated I still receive not correct IB data in SC. Is it OK and it is because there is no real time data in DEMO version ? I just thought that if there is no data from SC and I anyway activated "Allow support for SC data feed" I wouldn't receive any data at all instead of receiving incorrect IB data. Will it change when I purchase datafeed from you or I again did something wrong in settings?

The option Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is going to change anything unless you are using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.

Hello,

i know, i can use the new EXCHANGE Datafeed: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Symbol Limits for Data and the Orders via SC_Charttrading go to IB.

THATS fucking awesome btw!!!

BUT!!! what about the normal CFD Data Feed "SC Data - All Services[Data]": Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service

Does it work as well? Your customer Service is freaking amazing and your documentary is indeed stellar but i may have missed this info.
I want to trade mainly Forex and Index CFDs...and no Future contracts.
But reading through the Supportboard AND reading the Service webpage regarding IB.....damn, you guys must hate IB almost as much as the CME Group.
So i am worried about using IB as the Dataprovider. I am HOPING!!! IBs Orderrouting/OrderHandling is much better than their price stream. Am i right?

Best Regards

Yes you can also use the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Forex/CFD data service when using Interactive Brokers. Those symbols are listed and available and work.
