Compare the cloud from metatrader 4 and sierra chart, I found when the parameter set to 9, 26, 52 (the default one), the cloud is similar. However, when I change to 2, 3, 5. The cloud from sierra chart does not hugging the prices as mt4. I think sierra chart calculated wrong.

Sorry that I put in wrong title. I meant "ichimoku cloud does NOT seem to be right".

I also tried on stockcharts.com. Sierra chart produces different cloud.

The calculation cannot be wrong as this has been reviewed many times over the years and has been confirmed to be correct and some modifications/improvements have been made.

Therefore, the issue must be with the Study Settings. Refer to the updated documentation here for this study:

I see the problem. It's a bug in sierra chart. It seems you hardcoded the displacement to 26. That's why the default setting shows cloud similar to MT4 and stockcharts.com. But when change different setting, the cloud is far away from the price bars. I am not ichimokou expert. I think the displacement should be equal to kijun-sen

You can set the displacement to whatever you require.
