Is it possible to do this? A volume by price study automated to the zig zag study?

No, it is not possible to control the Volume by Price study in this way.

to remove time and use zig zap or other signal to automatically create dynamic volume profile is much more useful to display balance zone. hope this feature can be considered. thanks

You do have the ability to manually draw a Volume Profile across the span of a Zig Zag line:

We do not foresee this being automatic.

This video shows how a zig zag volume profile looks and would be very helpful. Data values would be an improvement.

This feature would have my vote for sure. The importance of volume profile is undisputed. Linking it to a zig zag study would greatly increase the functionality of SC IMO. Judging by the amount of views this post has received it would seem there is some interest in this topic.

I don't see why. It's not a big deal to code. The start and end times of the zig-zag study are readily available - just plug that into a drawn volume profile (which shows up in your study list) - dates into in:37 and in:40, in:38 to yes, times into in:39 and in:40, and let 'er rip! :)

+1 I agree this would be extremely useful. Looks like this feature has been requested for 5+ years now by different users. I would love to see it implemented.
