Errors - Bars Repeating and Duration Error

Good Morning,

Long time user, great platform, seems to be some new error for me though.

Version 1354 – Just installed, after these errors occurred on previous version. Deleted and downloaded new data for ES Today at 12:30. Cleared some of the errors on the charts but some still remain.
I thought I should report them.

The 1 min candlestick bar charts sometimes have a Timeframe Longer than 1 min. It will start building a new bar but the time remaining timer says the bar has, for example 1 min 24 sec till it finishes. Its not a consistent amount of time, sometimes it will say 1 min 15 sec other times its 1 min 10 seconds. You get the idea. I have it displayed on my charts with TR and it counts down till bar completion.

Another error that is occurring is the candlestick charts are repeating bars with different timeframes. For instance 10:10 a bar completed on the 5 min chart, 10:15 another bar completed, at 10:20 another bar completes but states that its bar time is 10:10. This occurs at different time frames on the chart and again not a consistent amount of time.

Any suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Sierra Chart no longer supports direct use of the Barchart Data Service which we see you are using. There is the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed which you should be using instead:

However, there could be a problem with exchange fees. Do you have a funded futures trading account? And if so with what broker/trading service?

Regarding the issue with the Countdown Timer study, that might be related to the time stamping problem but if not, refer to the documentation for it here:

How do you have Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Other Settings >> Timestamp Using Local Computer Clock set?

Unfortunately, No I do not have a futures trading account. I will need to stick with Barchart unless I can come up with a solution to use SC data feed. I would like to but something tells me unless I have a futures account, its a no go.

There is no >>Other Settings>> in my data/trade service settings.

We see that Time Stamp Using Local Computer Clock is false in your Sierra Chart.

That is what it should be. Post likely we are going to have to look into this using remote assistance.

I reset my internal clock and reloaded the data. After the reload it disappeared and has not occurred again. I will see how tomorrow works and post the results here if it still occurs. Thanks for the response and I will post tomorrow at some time during the day. I update my account information with my phone number as per your request.
