Even automated trading can require visual oversight. With complex chartbooks with many studies (in my case many overlapped so left side is not visible), a study alert condition is not very evident for the study name to turn red, (because a steady red is a common color among many studies and charts). You suggest coding & testing alerts via colored background, and that is good. but adds to studies. Ideally a study option would draw a box or circle on the study at the point of condition (crossover,level etc), with option to Blink, like Tools-Horizontal Line has that option right on it. Alternatively, add a blink option to colored background, for exceptional conditions. -- to give a priority-level recognition ability. Better would two alert formula areas in a study or background, the second alert allowing a -same (as color background or study alert) or -different condition for a blink. Maybe we could add different Colored Backgrounds, one per condition with blink option for background blink <-- probably the simplest solution. |
