Hi - I am having trouble running bar based back testing using the spreadsheet system for trading study. I see that even in case where the long entry column i.e. K return a FALSE value - a trade is generated at that time point i.e. for that bar. 1. Any reason this happens? Or when this happens? 2. Also, all I was using is RSI and its average and I see that trade entry price (say long entry) is not consistent across bars - it is open in one case and it is close in the other. Do you know if I can control the trade entry price by asking the back testing to only use CLOSE price? 3. Lastly, is it not possible and this so even on a 1-min bar chart - where the K column return FALSE since (maybe) it evaluates a simple RSI above its average condition at the close of the bar; however when you run the back testing using bar based method - the condition satisfies anytime during that bar (not just at the close) and it fires up an order. Is this not possible? If so, could this be the reason for my issues in 1 above? And finally, how to control this? Please help! |
