Hi Sierra Chart Team,

As you may have noticed, China's equity markets have become vitally important in Asia, driving sentiment in Assie and Yen. Some brokers already offer China's A50 FTSE, CS300 or Shanghai Composite indexes. Is there any plans to introduce China's indexes in Sierra Chart? I'd be greatly appreciated. I've talked with varies colleagues, and everyone agrees it'd be of great value for those trading Asia like us.

Thanks in advance,

Ivan

We have not yet responded because we do not have a good answer.

Do you know any data providers that you would recommend providing data for these markets and we will contact them?

And do not mention E-Signal. They are totally out of the question and a dishonest business.

We would only be interested in data providers who would be interested with integrating to the DTC Protocol that Sierra Chart supports:
http://DTCProtocol.org

And provide this data at a reasonable cost.

Hi,

Did some research, here are the data provider I could come up with:

http://www.gtadata.com/

www.icmarkets.com (my broker) - they offer the China A50 FTSE

http://www.cffex.com.cn/en_new/sjfw/hqsq/

It'd be great if you could contact them. The tables have turned in the FX arena, and a growing number of traders that rely on monitoring China during Asian hours to trade the likes of the Aussie or Yen, as I do. It will definitely help even further your excellent service to the trading community.

Thanks in advance.

I look forward to receiving promising feedback.

A Chinese contact is telling me to also look into Metastock. Another broker providing info on Shanghai Composite (SHCOMP) is HotForex. So some options here.

Another Chinese contacts mentioned the following....

For present time CME tries to implement A50 index, but volume is too low http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/#internationalIndexes

Also you may get access to SSE (Shaghai Stocks Exchange) http://english.sse.com.cn/ here you can see wide variety of stocks indexes.

Lastly, there's even more simple solution than aforesaid - access to CBOE exchange. CBOE offers different kinds of exchange traded funds on world indexes (see in google CBOE China ETF)

My colleague concludes: "I see among my colleagues big interest to Chinese products last time."

Thanks and hopefully your team can keep me updated

For a request like this, rapid news is not going to be possible. Something like this takes months.

We did have a question for you at post #8.

Ok thanks.

Regarding post 8, that instrument is not what i am referring to.

Let's hope we can get China stock indexes in SC at some point. I can see you offer Hang Seng from HK, perhaps the same feed provider can help with Shanghai index.

Interactive brokers can trade directly through Shanghai-Hong Kong stock connect: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=11759

It would be nice if SC Data can have the Shanghai Index?
