Not possible to apply Numbers Bar Study to Renko Chart?

I tried to add the Numbers Bar Study to a traditional 4 tick ES Renko (no wicks)chart. My goal was to simply see Total Volume at each of the 4 tick levels in each brick. It does not appear to be possible. Is that correct, or have I not configured the Settings properly?

What exactly is the problem that you are seeing? Post an image of the chart.

There should not be a problem with this.

The Numbers Bars are not restricted to 4 ticks. It appears (see attached)that the Numbers Bars are the same in Range as if the source Renko chart had a setting of "Renko Brick with Wicks". The source Renko Chart is set to simply "Renko Brick". My goal was to see only 4 tick Bricks/Numbers Bars.

We need to make a correction. When we talked about it not being 100% accurate, we were mistaken about that. We were thinking about applying the Numbers Bars study to a chart that is using a study to replace the main price graph like the old Renko Chart studies.

So the data displayed with Numbers Bars for Renko chart bars is 100% accurate.

What you see is normal. Numbers Bars are going to display all of the price levels at each chart bar.

Changing the Graph Draw Type is totally meaningless.

And no, we are not going to change this. We would never do that.

So your answer, then, in effect, is really simply "We do have traditional Renko Brick Charts. But No, you CANNOT apply the Numbers Bar Study to a traditional Renko Brick Chart and have the range of the resulting "bars" consistent with the range of the corresponding source Renko Chart. However, you CAN apply the Numbers Bar Study to a Range Bar or OHLC or Candlestick Bar Chart or Tick Chart or Volume Chart and the Numbers Bars WILL correspond to the bars in the source chart." And for whatever reason, "We will never change this". An interesting response, to say the least. I must be missing some kind of logic there.

Numbers Bars is a type of Graph Draw Type. So when that is being used, any other type such as Renko becomes irrelevant.

Even when you put the Point and Figure Chart study on the chart and also the Numbers Bars study, the Numbers Bars study will show a High to Low range which is greater in some cases than the underlying Point and Figure bars.

It is completely logical and orderly. We would never get involved with adding code for a particular selected Graph Draw Type to purposely skip over price levels which actually exist in the underlying data. That is a huge mistake.

Also, you are mixing Graph Draw Types and Bar Period Types in your comments. These are separate. For example, a Range Bar is different than a Candlestick Bar. A Range Bar can be drawn using various Graph Draw Types including Candlesticks and Numbers Bars.

Now, after having said everything we did in post #6, if you do want an option on the Numbers Bars study specific to drawing only the range of prices that are from the Renko Open to the Renko Close we could add that for an additional cost.

Something like 75 USD. It should not be difficult for us to do and we could probably get it done sometime in the next month.
