I have updated sierra software to newest version and noticed symbol has changed from INDU-I-NYSE to $DOWI. After logging in, quotes are delayed 10 mins and not updating. Where am I making a mistake?

Neither INDU-I-NYSE or $DOWI are TD Ameritrade symbols.

The first one is an Interactive Brokers symbol and the second one is a Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed symbol.

You will not get real-time data for $DOWI unless you pay for and activate this service on your Sierra Chart account:

I have used Standard Sierra Chart (Service Package 3)and Ameritrade data for years. Your information here says I can still use it:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/AmeriTrade.php
and specifically it says: "When using TD Ameritrade, you will have access to historical Daily and Intraday data, and streaming real-time data for stocks."

Until I updated to newest sierra software yesterday, I was able to receive real time DJ Industrial data real time by using symbol INDU-I-NYSE.
After updating, the symbol is replaced by $DOWI in drop down menu and it is delayed. How can I receive the same service I was getting for years up until the most recent update this week?

The following 2 symbols have been tested and you can see the error messages from TD Ameritrade:

HD Request # 2 | Error downloading historical Intraday data for INDU-I-NYSE. Data acquisition failed for 1 of 1 requests.Error retrieving data. | 2015-12-08 12:21:24

HD Request # 5 | Error downloading historical Intraday data for $INDU. Data acquisition failed for 1 of 1 requests.Error retrieving data. | 2015-12-08 12:22:27

We do not see how it was possible that the symbols would have worked previously and not now. And as we said the first one is an Interactive Brokers symbol.

To be clear, these symbols are not going to work with TD Ameritrade. That is abundantly clear. TD Ameritrade does not provide data for them.

We have absolutely no idea whatsoever, how you were able to receive data for INDU-I-NYSE when using TD Ameritrade. It makes no sense whatsoever at any point in time.

Instead you will need to use the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Forex/CFD Data Service:
Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service

You will want to use the symbol US30

Thank you for the explanation. Just for the record: I am attaching two screenshot files from April this year confirming how I used INDU-I-NYSE symbol. It does not show Ameritrade link but I will ask you to take my word for it as I used it only a few days ago on home computer (currently traveling).

First of all, the Sierra Chart you are showing is more than five years old. Maybe 8 years old.

And the chart has data from back in 2009 only. So what is the point of this discussion here?

As I said above, I am traveling and have limited access to records.

Since you do not want to take my word, I will document the current status of software installed on other computer upon my return home next month and will provide it to you. I am sure it is still working fine.

Also, the link you provided above for US30 YM CME (Dow 30 industrials futures). I am looking for INDU cash.

And finally: what is the purpose that you provide in your software a list of available real time indexes under Ameritrade tab when you actually do not provide them? For clarity, current screnshot file is attached.

Those particular index symbols are provided with the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed which has to be paid for and activated separately if you require real-time data for them. Here is the complete documentation for this:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Cash Indexes

The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed can be used along with other Trading services like TD Ameritrade. This is why you see those symbols listed.

Whatever you may show us, simply does not change the facts of what currently is. There might be a symbol that TD Ameritrade has for the Dow Jones Industrials but we do not know what that symbol is. You will have to ask TD Ameritrade about that.

If you just need Historical and Intraday charts for that particular symbol which do not update in real-time, you can install another copy of Sierra Chart and set it to use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service:
