Hi,

I am using the Daily OHLC to put a daily high bar on a 5 min chart. It appears that
sometimes this is not accurate. I also tried the Donchian and it is not accurate and is
showing the same inaccurate price as the daily bar.

I did expand the trading hours to see if that might show these phantom trades but no luck.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Many thanks,
Cy

This is too vague.

Post an image of the chart and be 100% precise about specifically what the problem is by making reference to a specific place in the chart and why it is wrong.

Provide an image of the chart, by following these instructions:

Also the Daily OHLC study does not draw bars but lines. So it is unclear what it is you are referring to to begin with.

Good morning---take a look at the high line(green) on 12/2--it does not equal the high
of the previous day---funny thing is it seems the Donchian on the previous day sees the
same phantom data. There are other examples on this chart.

Many thanks and have a nice day.

We need to get a Chartbook from you that contains one chart containing the Daily OHLC study which demonstrates this problem so we can test it on our side.

Here are instructions to attach it:

Next time please only provide a chartbook that has a single chart because it is difficult when we are bombarded by a large number of charts.

Once we found the particular chart that you posted an image of previously and removed all other studies other than the Daily OHLC study and checked it, it works correctly:

When you remove other studies from the chart, does it then work correctly?

Can you tell what study was causing the problem?

We would not think any of them would. We had not taken the time to figure out which one was causing it. Assuming the problem was there when all of the studies were on the chart but we had not checked.

The Time Line study will not remove a bar from being used in calculations of other studies. That is not possible.
