For some reason my Net P&L in the Trade Window does not display in the Currency value. It displays in ticks even though the Currency Value option is selected. I added the Trading P&L and Closed P&L study to troubleshoot the problem and those studies show the correct profit in currency value $175 (see attachment). While the trade is active, the Net P&L in the trade window is displayed in the correct Currency Value, however, once the position is closed and the position is flattened, the value reverts to ticks. Your help is appreciated in troubleshooting this issue. Thank you.

When you disable the option in Chart Trade Settings to display the Net PL, do you see a problem with the Daily Profit/Loss. Daily Profit/Loss show on the Trade Statistics tab for the same symbol? What is the symbol you are trading? We do not have enough information to help with this at this time and we do not see a problem in our testing. I found the problem... I am trading the QM contract with a Zenfire feed. I am using the BAAVG at the end of the symbol. It seems whenever I append BAAVG to the end of the symbol is when the problem occurs. The P&L window as well as the Trade Stats page shows everything in Points even though I have Currency Value selected. I've used BAAVG before with symbols and never had this problem. Not sure why this would effect the P&L display. Is it possible for this to be corrected?

This is not so easy to resolve. For now manually set the Currency Value per Tick in the chart through Chart >> Chart Settings. The Currency Value per Tick in the chart settings has always and is currently set to the correct value for the instrument I am trading. But it still reports in Points instead of Currency. It's strange that when the trade is live that it is reporting correctly, but only when the position is closed that is reverts back to points. Would you know why this is happening? Makes it hard to tell how much actual money I have made for the day... Which of course is the whole purpose of trading. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-06-22 20:45:39

Just following up on this post to see if there was ever a clear reason on why this P&L issue is occurring? Also, had another question about BAAVG. When I chart a symbol with BAAVG appended to the end of the symbol, it is okay. But when I actually go to place an order with a live broker it is rejected. I am assuming this is because the server no longer recognizes the symbol with BAAVG added to it. I was wondering if there is a way to chart an instrument with the BAAVG symbol, but have the actual order be sent without the BAAVG added just using the normal symbol? Thanks.

We tried duplicating the problem but could not. We do not know why it is occurring in your case. We did carefully think through this and cannot see any logical reason why you would encounter what you are describing. Add the exact symbol with the data recording suffix in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings and make sure the Currency Value Per Tick is set. See if that resolves the problem.
