I am having trouble trading this symbol on my Spreadsheet for Trading using my TD Ameritrade acoount. I can get an updated chart using TD Ameritrade data feed using BRK/B as my symbol and simulated auto trading works great. The problem is that when I switch to live trading I get a trading service log error:

Trade Order Error - Order error: TDA order update. Please enter a valid stock symbol.. Internal Order ID: 4274. Service Order ID: (none). Symbol: BRK/B | 2015-11-11 10:45:56 *

Please note trading this Berkshire Hathaway Class B common stock on the TD Ameritrade website requires the use of BRK.B symbol (not BRK/B).

I tried changing my SC chart symbol from BRK/B to BRK.B but the chart ( and the spreadsheet for trading) is blank and not updating each second on the chart and the automated spreadsheet for trading as it did with the use of symbol BRK/B?

What is the solution so that I can auto trade this stock?

Select Chart >> Chart Settings. Set the Trade and Current Quote Symbol to BRK.B.

But we realize, this would cause the current Quote data to be all zeros.

But this will be solved in an upcoming release with a new option to use the symbol only as a trading symbol.

When is the release with this fix expected to come out?

This should not be regarded as a "fix". The problem is with TD Ameritrade, and you should contact them and have them resolve this ridiculous problem. It is a complete absurdity, that a problem like this even exists on their system. It is not right, and we do not like the idea of us fixing problems which they are responsible for taking care of.

We do not know when it will come out. We are still contemplating the best way to do this. We will do our best, but we do not think this would be for about two weeks at the soonest.

We will not take too long to get this feature improvement out. But just please allow us about two weeks. It is not going to take us longer than that. We have had it on our near-term list now for about a month.

In the mean time, if I subscribe to your SC Real Time Data Feed for NYSE can I use symbol BRK.B to get a chart that will update and then use my TD AMeritrade account to autotrade with SC for BRK.B? (Bypassing the use of BRK/B symbol altogether?)

The reason I ask is because I can get SC Historical 1 minute chart data using BRK.B, but I am not sure if Intraday Chart w/1sec bars would work the same with SC Real Time Data Feed subscription?

Yes this will work. If there any problems, we will give you a refund or correct them. But definitely it will work from the start.

All US equities when using TD Ameritrade, will update in real time when using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. The historical data is tick by tick.

The cost is 35 USD per month which is prorated and 10.50 USD per month for the US equities exchanges.

I signed up for the SC Exchange feed and it is working and updating my chart and spreadsheet, however the positions I have in my TD Ameritrade accounts are not showing up in the trade window, or in the Orders and position popout/log? Please advise.

The Trade Activity log shows "Requesting all orders from trading service" but it has been 20 minutes and no positions are reported?

You need to set Sierra Chart to still use the TD Ameritrade service. Follow steps here:
