Record Trading & Replay showing Manual Trades from Log?

Is there a way to simply replay a trading period with trades executed (even if simulated), similar to simulation for practice trading ? I only find info about automated trades in backtesting, and accurate trading backtest mode. Since S.C. does replay for simulated trading, and trades are stored in the activity log (whether live or simulated trading), it seems that a mode to simply replace keyboard input with trades from the log might not be difficult? It's likely that others have wished to review a bad day, where protective stops were not placed or entries or exits were made prematurely, etc., that would be very useful, like a football team going over a bad game. It would not need to show orders as placed, or those not executed (that would be nice someday later). Maybe this can go on the future-handy-features-list |

We were going to respond with this but then we realized this is not going to work: This can be done in the newer releases of Sierra Chart.
Simply replay a chart as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ReplayChart.html Set the chart to display the order fills as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartTrading.html#DisplayingOrderFills It is only supported in this case to display simulated order fills. Not non-simulated order fills. So this is actually not supported. We will have to think about this but please do not expect anything soon. Our to do list is already two years long. Understood. With S.C., your features are worth waiting for. We appreciate your hard work. When/IF you get to it, hopefully it would be less-programming compared to the benefit of the feature. |
