After logging on with no problems, after a number of minutes, the program logs me off and gives me this message about live trading. I then have to relog back in. I checked with Vision and they suggested I contact you. Here is a copy of the log file.

Please understand, that it is necessary that our users are trading when using Rithmic. Otherwise Rithmic may prevent Sierra Chart users from using their system.

This is the reason why you are getting this notice and being disconnected. Therefore, you need to start submitting orders from Sierra Chart. If you just want to submit a Limit order and cancel it, you can do that. Here is the trading documentation:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_Trading.html

Now if you are trading from another application on your Rithmic account, this is fine. What you can do to prevent Sierra Chart from giving you this message, is make order modifications and cancellations from Sierra Chart charts and Trading DOMs. We will make sure in the next release, that those are monitored for as well to prevent this message from showing.

If you are not actually trading using your Rithmic account at all, then our advice is to discontinue the use of Rithmic from Sierra Chart.

This getting a little out of control. Not the least of which is that the Sierra Dom is not the friendlist I have met. I can at least understand Ninja's and my old trademaven program is also easy to understand. I find the your order entries to be very cumbersome. As to the 10 days, I have not even had this that long after getting the feed set up.

Thanks for responding so quickly.

Order entry through the Sierra Chart Trade DOM definitely should not be cumbersome. Here is the documentation for it:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartTrading.html#TradeDOM

Order entry is a single click and you can modify an order by dragging the order. You can cancel an order with a single click. So you may not be following the proper procedure. Please describe in which way it is "cumbersome" so we can explain the proper operation. You may not be doing it in the most efficient way.

We have received recent good feedback for the Trade DOM. So you should not be having difficulties. Attached Orders configuration may be a little different than what you are used to, but once you understand how they work they are straightforward.

We will make some adjustments to the notifications to resolve the problem where you have not been using Rithmic for 10 days and are still getting notice.

I am sure that once someone gets used to using it, this is kind of funny because it is trueism. The real question is, why not have a uniform order entry across many platforms? Especially when you are trying to learn the basics of the platform. I am no longer 22 when things came really easy. But that is more philsophical than this message board needs to be.

Bottom line, I made the entry and am now playing with the various order entries.

Thanks again, you always have very prompt replies and that shows great committment. I should say that I am coming to you through OFE.
