OCO Limit and (Step) Trail Stop questions

Hi,

Aside from using Attached Orders, is there any way for me to create an OCO Limit and Trail Stop or OCO Limit and Step Trail Stop? I cannot see these options in the drop menu of the Main tab of the Trade Window - would it be feasible to add them?

On a related note, is there a way for me to adjust the parameters of an active Step Trail Stop (i.e. the Stop/Trail/Trigger Offsets and Step Amount)?

Thanks in advance.

No, this is not supported.

The only modification that can be made to an existing Attached Order is its quantity and price.

Although it is possible to indirectly adjust the trailing stop offset by modifying the price of the order. Refer to:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalTradeSettings.html#AdjustTrailOffset

But not the Trigger Offset or Step Amount.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Will you consider adding OCO Limit and (Step) Trail Stop to
the drop down menu? It doesn't seem like a big leap to make from Attached Orders with Limit and Step Trail Stop to OCO Limit and Step Trail Stop. Plus you already have Step Trail Stop on the drop down menu.

The Trade Window cannot support entering the trailing offset or the step amount if we were to add OCO Limit and Step Trailing Stop. Both of those would default to the difference between the current price and the stop price.

If you are fine with that, we could do it, but it is going to be limited in what it can do because of this.

No thanks. I'm basically looking to be able to assign different trailing offsets and step amounts to contracts as I'm scaling into a position. The idea is to give some contracts more room to breathe than others, so the entire position doesn't get stopped out in one go. The problem is that I might use the wrong Attached Order config or forget to check the "Use Attached Orders" in my haste, so I want the flexibility to either modify or create an OCO with a Step Trailing Stop.

How about making orders modifiable and linkable into OCO orders in the Orders and Positions window? And adding columns showing the trail offsets and step amounts. I'm surprised orders aren't already modifiable through the Orders and Positions window.

OK now that we understand what you want to do, this is currently supported. What you want to do is cancel any existing Attached Orders which are already working for a particular symbol and replace them by using the Send Attached Orders feature:

Awesome. Many thanks.

One last thing: is there any way for me to check what is the trail offset and step amount of an active Step Trail Stop order?

Not now but we will see about how to make this information visible. Just give us a few days for this.
