SC Forex Intraday support for IB

Presently SC knows how to use SC Forex historical data (FXCM) for IB related symbols via:

"Optionally enable Support Alternate Forex Historical Data to use Sierra Chart historical Forex data for IB -CASH-IDEALPRO symbols."

Meaning that SC knows how to map the symbols back and forth (which is fairly straight-forward given the consistent format).

What would be very helpful is the ability to use SC Forex intraday data (already available in Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service) for IB symbols. The reason this is more useful than the IB data is because the IB data has bunk volume making it pretty much impossible to use tick/volume charts with IB FX data. The FXCM data is more suitable for this - but the difficulty is that you cannot enter orders from the chart because SC thinks it's trying to trade an FXCM symbol name against the IB data connection, obviously not going to work. It works with historical data because it knows how to map back and forth, but intraday data doesn't have that support.

So a situation is I'll have FXCM intraday data to generate tick/volume charts for FX pairs but have no way to easily trade that from a chart because the symbols don't map back.

Select File >> Find Symbol >> Forex. Use the six letter Forex symbols.

In the chart for one of those symbols, select Chart >> Chart Settings. Set the Trade and Current Quote Symbol to the equivalent Interactive Brokers symbol so you can trade it.

So when I try to use this with, for example, GBPUSD as chart symbol and GBP.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO as quote/trade symbol, I get either order errors, or only the opening order left in transmit state with the stop/target ignored - it simply doesn't work correctly. When I set the chart entirely to GBP.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO things work perfectly fine.

We cannot duplicate the problem described in post #4. We are able to submit an order and it works correctly. No problem at all. What order error do you get specifically?

Try this using the edemo demouser TWS username and password and test again.
