Hi SC Support -

Is there a way for users to adjust individual column widths on the Trade DOM? If not, are there any plans for this option in the future?

Thanks & take care -

Yes the buy/sell column width can be controlled. Refer to the setting for this here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalTradeSettings.html#ChartDOMSettings

The setting is Buy/Sell Column Minimum Character Width.

Eventually we will get to supporting the widths for any of them.

Thank you very much for the link and the update.

Excellent, that sounds great. Is it part of those plans to enable users to control how price is displayed? For example, in the ZN I really only want to see 20.5 and 20.0 rather than 128'20.50 and 128.20.00.

I attached a screenshot as an example.

Thanks again & take care -

Derek

So you want the integer portion removed and then remove trailing zeros off the sub fractional part?

We can add an option for that. Is this something that is commonly used for people trading bonds? We guess so if another program has it.

What is that other program you posted a screenshot of?

Thanks for your prompt response & questions.

I would definitely be fine with that as an option. Another option is to keep the pricing intact, and have the ability to compress the pricing cell so that the unwanted price is there but off-screen to the left. But as far as which is easier to implement within SC, I will leave that to you & your team :)

We can add an option for that. Is this something that is commonly used for people trading bonds? We guess so if another program has it.

I believe it is, in one form or another, a common practice for Treasury traders as they often have DOMs up for multiple markets. For example, my layout includes ZN, ZB, ZF, UB, & ES. So not only am I trying to make the most out of my screen real estate, I'm also trying to minimize the presence of extraneous information (i.e. the 128', etc).

What is that other program you posted a screenshot of?

That is the Jigsaw Trading DOM.

If you have other questions or need additional information, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to help.

Thanks and take care -

Derek

Hello,

Saw this older thread and wondered if you ever addressed this. I am also looking to display only part of the price value.
I, as well, trade bonds and it would be helpful to abbreviate the price.

Also, I have been trying to find a way to narrow the price values column as there is just too much margin either side of the text.
I can do it for any column except for price. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your consideration.

Was this function ever added? I would like to be able adjust the width of the price column on the DOM as well. Thank you.
