An update to the current version is required for any user running Sierra Chart 1290 through version 1295. Due to some recent changes with historical data downloading, there were some issues with which arose from this which now have been resolved. Since historical data downloading is one of the most critical functions of the program, we are locking out versions 1290 through 1295. When you start Sierra Chart, the new version will be automatically downloaded and you will be prompted to install it once the download is complete. The download occurs in the background after starting Sierra Chart. You will not be able to connect to the data feed, until you install the current version of Sierra Chart. Sunday evening we do plan to remove the requirement to update, so as not to cause any interruption being that the historical data download issue is not something that is commonly encountered. We have removed the requirement to automatically update to the current version if you are running version 1290 through 1295. One unexpected problem is that Sierra Chart would automatically update to the version with Old Spreadsheets. Most users at this time are running New Spreadsheets. Therefore, when you can, manually update through Help >> Download Current Version. Choose the command with "New Spreadsheets" unless you are certain you require Old Spreadsheets.
