and hitting an arbitrary 15 year limit, even though barchart has data on the future contract going back 25 years. Why is this limit there? I could totally understand such a limit for intraday data, but this is just EOD data on a weekly timeframe. It's a bit difficult to chart long-term support and resistance levels when I'm missing 10 years of data because it refuses to download the data.

"Limiting the number of years back for the continuous futures chart to 14.997947. Reason: Maximum allowed years. | 2015-09-18 13:50:26"

Are you sure the data is available? When you open a 25-year-old futures contract for a specific month and year do you get the chart?

There is a very good reason why a limit is there because users do not understand the consequence of specifying a large number of Days to Load if the data is not available because there is an unnecessary amount of historical data requests. So if the data is not available, it is pointless for us to allow it.

Yes, I'm definitely sure the data is available because I checked that first on barchart (which is where I know the data is coming from):

In Sierra, I can only get up to year 2000 or so. Like I said, I think it's fine to limit things but probably not limit things when it's not intraday data. Here I'm trying to plot multiple days/weeks to establish long-term support levels.

In the next version the limit has been increased to 25 years.
