Do you still consider to add the possibility to show the Compact Tool Values Window permanently? If yes, When will this be available? |

This is pretty disappointing, because the constant appearing and disappearing of the CTVW is pretty distracting. I'm alwasy open to new things and SC has done a great job of improving its software of the the past years, but if not using ToolsBars like I am, the changes made lately to the Status Bar are all but an improvment in my opinion. |

Is it merely a distraction? No one else has asked for this. You are complaining about something that is designed a certain way for very good reasons. If you have a nonstandard use of it, there may be a problem, and we acknowledge it. But we cannot be recklessly adding options and implementing everything everyone asks. Are you using it with the Chart Values tool? That tool can be always set to be on through Global Settings >> Tool Settings and will cause this window to be always visible. Also, we are planning enhancements to the options for the Chart Values tool to make them better organized. We can make this one of the options to keep the Compact Tool Values Window always visible when the Chart Values tool is selected.

I'm not complaining or recklessly asking for adding options.You had announced this, based on userfeedback here (post #8): New Control Bar to replace ToolBar and Status Bar Are you using it with the Chart Values tool?
Do you mean the Chart Values Window? If so, no, I prefer the Tool Values Window or the Compact Tool Values Window because I like to quickly see the information (that I like to see) by moving across the charts with the Cross Hair.No need to comment on this, I'll explain my thoughts and try to make some suggestions, that you and others might find useful in a further post later today. There is an option to keep the Compact Tool Values Window always visible when using the Chart Values tool. This is in the latest prerelease.
