Hi

I have both the sierra harts and lmax trading software and there is significant delay in several seconds which makes it impossible to trade
please advice if there is any settings to speed up the platform unless this is intentional from lmax.
sierra charts works fine but the data received although looks fine is really off the real market

We have reset the data connection to LMAX and the delay is gone.

The only logical explanation is that the data is not being received to our server fast enough. But this seems hard to believe. We cannot remember anything like this with any other network connections that we have to other data servers and exchanges.

Nevertheless, we will switch the server over to London in the evening today which should eliminate this kind of problem.

Here are the instructions to use our server in London which uses a data feed from LMAX that has a faster update rate.

Select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings.

Set the Market Data Server to: lmaxrt.sierracharts.com

Press the SC Server Settings button. Set the Port for SC Real-time Server to 10048.

Press OK. Reconnect with the Disconnect and Connect commands on the File menu.

Also after observing the problem this time, we have clear evidence the problem is with the LMAX FIX server. There are times when it is simply just not sending any data or the data is lagging.

You should not be seeing a problem from our London server.

From our server in North America we are seeing a lag of 1.5 minutes from LMAX. This is totally unbelievable. We have never ever seen anything like this with any data feed connection to any market data server from an exchange before.

That connection now has been changed to use a DTC Protocol connection to the server in London. This will eliminate the lag. In any case, it is not relevant as long as you are using our London server.
