hello,

how do I compress the time axis to see a tick chat of a high volume instrument such as SPY for the ENTIRE DAY IN A 200PX WIDE window? Decrease space bar at its max allows only 2minutes of data.
almost every other software offers this IMPORTANT feature. If this is not present in sierra, can this be added in the next release?

There are definitely no plans to add this. The way this is accomplished in Sierra Chart is by increasing the timeframe of the chart bars.

We really do not understand this concept. It comes across as quite illogical to us but we have not seen this in other programs.

1.Actually it is very logical, very popular and very powerful.
2. It is available in ever program I have ever used. I have been trading for 35 years full time.
3. It allows one to see details that are not visible on higher time frame charts.
4. very useful to see OBV which represents true money flow for the entire day.

OK, but there are no plans to add this.

The method by which this is accomplished is by increasing the timeframe of the chart bars.

Sierra Chart does have a On Balance Volume study:

increasing time frame does not provide the important info.

With this exception sierra seems complete and I like what I see so far.

Perhaps there is another way I sierra.
I AM INTERESTED IN SEEING A CHART OF VOLUME AT ASK - VOLUME AT BID FOR THE ENTIRE DAY INCLUDING CURRENT TREND AND ALSO DIVERGENCES OF THIS DIFFERENCE WITH THE PRICE ACTION.
thx for your help. I will appreciate if you can suggest how to accomplish this.

This can be done by using the Volume by Price study:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_VolumeByPrice.php

The volume bars will display Bid Volume and Ask Volume and also you can display these values numerically.

This can be done. We will put together an example Study Collection demonstrating this.
