Hi,

I am using the Horizontal Lines study to enter multiple inputs for several symbols each day/

I was wondering if there was a keyboard mechanism/shortcut for quickly moving between input 1 and then input 2 and then input 3 etc

At the moment I have to stare at the screen and use a mouse to locate the next input box and click on it and then return to the keyboard to type in the entry.

It would be a lot faster if one could tab between inputs.

Is there a shortcut I am missing ?

Thanks

There is no shortcut for this.

However, you might want to use the Spreadsheet Study to accomplish this and then you can do all the editing by keyboard. Here is the documentation for the Spreadsheet Study:

Thanks for the reply.

Can I request that there be a keyboard shortcut in a future update please.

I don't like using the spreadsheet study during live trading sessions as it does significantly increase CPU usage, especially if there multiple instances (eg on several charts).

I'll have a look if I can program a customized version of the Horizontal Lines study to read inputs from a text file in the meantime

Try the latest version of Spreadsheets again. There have been performance improvements. Maybe it will be satisfactory.

I am trying out the spreadsheets and monitoring CPU performance.

To get a complete horizontal line across my chart do I need to set the rows at a minimum of 150 ?

I'd still much prefer to use the Horizontal lines study as it seems so much simpler and using spreadsheets for this task seems like overkill

If you set the Number of Rows input for the Spreadsheet Study to 150, then the horizontal line will span 150 bars from the end.

Using the Horizontal Lines study is more simple.
