I am trading the 6E Euro and my trading hour starts at 5:20 Pacific Time. I was wondering if it is possible to set up TPO Market Profile from 5:20 to 5:30 and then 5:30 to 6:00, and from there continue every 30 minutes chart. I set up the 5:20 but then it is giving me chart from 5:20 to 5:50, 5:50 to 6:20 and so on, I do not like this way because . I am missing some information.

Thank you very much

Hi,

You just need to go into the study settings for your TPO study and enable Custom Sub Periods and set the start time and end time for custom sub period 1 to be 5.20 and 5.30 Pacific Time and custom sub period 2 to be 5.30 to 6.00 - see the inputs that you need to change in the attached screenshot.

There is a much better way. Use the 30 Minute Letter/Block Subperiod Handling input.

I got the time change on the Profile , the periods changed the way I need them (5:20 to 5:30 and 5:30 to 6:00) but the data has some discrepancies, so far some ticks are missing in the periods and some periods have extra ticks when I compare with my Bar Chart (both are from the same broker's data). For example : today 07/29/15 my profile on the Euro (6E)
My PROFILE ON THE EURO (6E) PACIFIC TIME My BAR CHART pacific time
5:20 to 5:30 H: 1.1044 - L:1.1037 5:20 to 5:30 H: 1.1044 L:1.1037
5:30 to 6:00 H: 1.1065 - L:1.1041 5:30 to 6:00 H: 1.1065 L:1.1041
6:00 to 6:30 H: 1.1065 - L:1.1047 6:00 to 6:30 H: 1.1065 L:1.1040

Are both of the charts you are comparing on the same instance of Sierra Chart? If not, then that most likely is the reason for the problem.

How are you making this comparison? Post a chart image of each showing these differences you are describing. Here are instructions:

What does "PTO" stand for?

It sounds like you will want to use the "30 Minute Letter/Block SubPeriod Handling" TPO Profile Chart study Input to handle this:
