For stocks that are active in pre-market, I wanted to plot the pre-market highs and lows so I used the High/Low for Time Period study.

Initially I checked the High/Low for Time Period study with start time of 7:00 and end time of 9:30. I had Session times set for 7:00:00 to 16:00. The study drew the line from 7:00 to 9:30 only. When I changed the session time to begin at 8:00, I was pleasantly surprised that the study plotted the line from 8:00 to 9:30 automatically without having to change the start time on the High/Low for Time Period study to 8:00.

I wanted the lines drawn throughout the session so I used the High/Low for Time Period - Extended study with the same start time of 7:00 and end time of 9:30. When chart session time was 7:00 to 16:00, the study plotted the line from 7:00 to 16:00. However, sometimes when a stock is active only starting at 8:00, I had to change the chart session start time to 8:00, the High/Low for Time Period - Extended study does not plot the line. I had to change the chart session start time also to 8:00 before the study will plot the lines. This takes an extra step which could be tedious when I have 12 charts.

Is it possible to make the High/Low for Time Period - Extended study to behave like the original one so that the study can just be set to a longer time period like 7:00 to 9:30 but plots the line even if the chart session start time is set to 8:00.

Thanks.

We cannot make any changes in this area to the study. Working with times within studies is extremely complicated already.
