Hi SC. I trade through Interactive Brokers and use the Sierra Chart data feed.

The 'Trade Activity Log' has always been fantastic, but despite my 'futures-options' trades being visible in the log (entered through IB's platform) they don't show the correct P/L. I need to tweak the symbol settings for them to reflect the x1000 barrel contract multiplier, which will allow me to analyse my futures and futures options performance together.

Is there any way to do this as I can't find the options symbols in the global symbol settings? If not, then what should I do about all the options trades that appear in my trade activity log with the wrong P/L? I need to have the log set to "All Symbols" in order to assess my performance across multiple instruments so filtering through the futures symbols one by one (to exclude the options) wouldn't help me.

One symbol example is: LOQ5 P4800-FOP-NYMEX

Many thanks in advance!
All the best,
J

Add the following symbol pattern to the Global Settings >> Symbol Settings :
LO?# ?####-FOP-NYMEX

The most important settings to set are:

Use Pattern Matching
Tick Size
Price Display Format
Currency Value per Tick

Other symbols can be added in the same way.

Great stuff, I followed your instructions and it works a charm! On a final note: Will filling in the "Underlying Symbol" in the 'Additional' tab do anything that might help? I can't find it mentioned in the documentation for global symbol settings.

Underlying Symbol is internally used in our server environment. It is not useful for individual Sierra Chart users.
