Request Feature re Extending Rectangle

The Extending Rectangle is a very useful tool for marking support and resistance zones. Suggest that it have optional Start and End Time parameters. Rationale: Currently I set the support and resistance zones early (midnight) and they then extend forever. On the next day (midnight) I must replace these with Non-extending rectangles and then draw the new day's extending rectangles. It would save much time if I could set the extending rectangles to end at the end time. Thanks |

i agree and second that request. i also posted a request on this tool but dont think its a priority for SC right now. Extending Rectangle Feature Suggestion extending rectangle can be a very powerful tool for SC but it has lots of limitations which i hope gets looked at sometime.. another option may be to develop a study based on this tool called the zones indicator perhaps.. with parameters that help us to adjust: - labels (centered, left, right etc) - value (centered, top, bottom etc) - starting date/time - ending date/time (today as default maybe) - transparency - fill color - line color - line style i wonder if this is difficult to do? any comments SC ? |

You can set the Start and End time for a Rectangle (Non-extending) drawing by going into the Chart Drawing Properties for it changing the Anchors.

In the next release, you will be able to set the begin/end time for rectangle highlights, and the begin time for extended rectangles via the drawing configs. These settings are only valid when creating the rectangles, and once created they can be modified as normal rectangle drawings. When a drawing is created in this mode, the date from the initial mouse click is used along with the specified times. If the times are reversed, then an additional day is added to the end point (i.e. draw from 18:00-03:00). Also added the ability to cut a rectangle drawing (could only cut extended rectangle previously). The documentation will be updated for these changes. |
