Hi,

I am setting SC up for CFD trading with IB. I see from the example of your IB symbols page that the DE30 is IBDE30-CFD-SMART-EUR-BAAVG. I also want to set up the US500, FTSE100 and EURO 50. Do you please know the full code for these for Sierra Chart?

thanks

The different parts of a symbol used in Sierra Chart for Interactive Brokers are defined by Interactive Brokers except for the -BAAVG suffix. So contact IB to find out what the first part of the complete symbol should be for these. We do not know.

Based on the above the symbol will be:
IBUS500-CFD-SMART-USD-BAAVG

Also the way to ask this question is to not mention Sierra Chart but to ask them what symbol is used within Trader Workstation. Once you know that symbol and the currency, you can determine the symbol for Sierra Chart.

I now have the chart open. What are the settings for the Sierra Chart DOM in terms of tick sizing etc? Am I ok to use the DOM for trading these CFDs?

cheers

Usually the tick size should be set correctly for the CFD from data provided by Interactive Brokers TWS. Otherwise, we would not know what they should be.

The tick size was too granular by default (0.01)with the DOM moving up and down the screen with every small move. For anyone else reading this I set it at .25 and it is much easier to work with.
