This means the simple alert is not evaluating to true. Change the formula to TRUE. This will always evaluate to true and at least give you a signal right away so you can test the Alerts Log. Just looking at the formula itself we see no problem with it. We recommend setting up a simple formula on a Moving Average study comparing the moving average to the closing price of a bar and see how that works.
