Multiple trading issues with version 1246

I am having multiple issues on multiple computers on V1246. I have not had problem on prior versions so I will list them as follows.

1. Trade service is listing open positions incorrectly. I held overnight at a price ES-M5 of 2086.75 and during the night the average position shows 2097.96/ This seems to most likely be a Rithmic problem, but I list it in case it it causing other problems.
2. Everytime I place a trade the system disconnects and after about 5-10 seconds reconnect. It seems that trades are being placed but during disconnect shown as a market order. It unclear to me if its filling before or after the trade is placed.
3. During this trade related OCO order are place but upon reconnect not filled and disappear.
4. Reversing position does not reverse with the current order fill amount but rather the amount selected in the trade window.

Go back to version 1241 by selecting Help >> Download Current Version.

Will be looking into these later today.

4. This is a recent change we made. The reversal quantity will be twice the order quantity set on the Trade Window but will not exceed twice the quantity of the current position.

4. We made a mistake with the explanation of how reversals work in the new versions. The existing position is flattened and a new position is opened to the quantity set in the Trade Window.

There is no check to see if the new position exceeds the current position quantity but we will look at adding that.

We were concerned that the recent work we did on the Rithmic bridge program was the cause of this:

We cannot duplicate any of these issues. What we are suspecting has happened is that possibly you are not running a Rithmic bridge program which matches up to the current version of Sierra Chart.

What we want you to do is exit from Sierra Chart and delete the following file:
C:\SierraChart\Rim\DTCBridge.com

After this is done select Help >> Download Prerelease to update Sierra Chart and get the bridge program installed again. Here are instructions:

I have now the version 1248 and I have re-installed the Rithmic trader. I will let you now on Thursday. I am going for holidays now. I really hope that it is going to work.

I just tried using attach orders on CL. I still get a market order pending. SC disconnects from the datafeeed then reconnects. This is troubling if I can uses oco's for CL

For now disable Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >>Use Server-Side OCO and Bracket Orders.

The order entry and disconnect problems reported here when using Rithmic have been actively looked into and we finally have discovered the problem.

What was happening is that when an order is submitted, in the Rithmic bridge program a deadlock condition sometimes was occurring. This started to occur when there was some recent code changes to our network socket code.

The basic underlying reason for this problem is that the software used to connect to Rithmic is not developed by us but developed by Rithmic and it functioned in a way which is unexpected and not well understood by us.

This problem has been resolved in version 1249.


Rithmic uses an API component and this is one of the reasons why we no longer support these:

The first revision we put out of 1249 did not have the updated Rithmic bridge program. We rebuilt it. So if you already installed 1249 update again by selecting Help >> Download Pre-release anytime after the time of this message.
