Hi I have an usual error/issue coming up.
I have 2 chart books in the same SC program, both with an automated study for spreadsheet that enters in trade entries.(each spreadsheet has a diferent trigger)
I am connected to IB (live trading), I can manually enter trades and I know its all connected.
In one chart book it will enter trades automatically.(So I know that auto trading is enabled)
...even though it gives the message to the Trade Service Log.

"Trading Message from IB: Order Event Warning:Attribute 'Outside Regular Trading Hours' is ignored based on the order type and destination. PlaceOrder is now being processed.. Error Code: 2109. ServiceOrderID: 2573. | 2015-04-10 16:59:46"

In the second chartbook I cannot get the spreadsheet to work (I have tried unloading, reloading etc etc).
I have checked and looked at the exact same settings (they are the same)
In both spreadsheets, the SELL ENTRY columns trigger true, and on both charts an Arrow will appear....but one will not send orders - there is not even any log message.
I have read the documents and maybe am missing something very simple...can anyone suggest ideas? Thanks in advance

Whatever the reason is, it is documented here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SystemsAlerts.php#IgnoredSignals

Really there should be a message as to the reason why there is no order submitted, given in the Trade >> Trade Service Log.

Another thing to do is to turn on Trade Simulation Mode and test it that way. When you do though, make sure that the Send Orders to Trade Service study and put is set the Yes.

Hi I have been going back and forth with this and cannot work out any differences. There is no messages in the Trade>>Trade Service Log, either live or when doing Reply. I even tried the suggestion....
One way to get an understanding of how the TRUE signals in K3, L3, M3, N3 are processed is to do the following:

Remove the formulas from the K3, L3, M3, N3 cells on the specific Sheet in the Spreadsheet window you are working with.
Start a chart replay at a relatively slow speed. For example, on a 1 minute chart you may want to use 20 to 30 times.
Enter a 1 in cell K3, L3, M3, or N3 to simulate it becoming TRUE.
Enter a 0 to clear that state.
Refer to the Window >> Show/Hide Alerts Manager >> Alerts Log for the System or Alert signals. Refer to the Trade >> Trade Service Log for ignored signals. Not all ignored signals will be logged.

...Then maybe I thought -wild guess - it has something to do with the the different data feed setups I have.

I use 2 copies of SC...one for longs and one for shorts. (SC longs and SC shorts)
Each is connected to a different login and user name at IB, and they are not families and friends/advisor accounts.
They are 2 distinctly separate logins.
Each copy of SC has no problems sending orders to the right IB TWS when manually trading.
I also use the SC data feed (this is the one that costs 35 per month)

Usually I log into my 2 version of SC, and I noticed that when I open my SC shorts version, the SC longs also opens.
Upon checking the account manager at SC to see what is activated - I re read all the documentation - it appears I should be paying 35pm for the first instance (SC longs - already do) and 20pm for the 2nd instance (SC shorts - not activated)

At present I only have 1 activated - I did not realise the second needed to be activated....and since it seemed to work I never gave it another thought.
Is this correct?

If so - my wild guess is that this is causing problems somewhere/somehow and I should activate the second copy...but then I would expect it to work.

thanks. (Happy to pay extra if correct and have activated the second copy, but it was interesting this never seemed to be a problem)

I have tried to test this again....I dont know what is going on.
I have deleted everything and have only one chart open with a spreadsheet.

When I have auto trading enabled, SIM trading on, and use the replay,

I set the BUY ENTRY to SELL EXIT columns (K to M) ALL have the number 1 in them. So i should at least send a trade order in.
OR I put the Last sale price (=e3) in just the BUY entry
.
I can get NOTHING in any of the Message Logs, or trade files coming up.

The only message I occasionally get when running this with multiple variations is...
Replay 10.0X: CL-201505-NYMEX [M] 0.02 Range #2: SendOrdersToTradeService is not consistent with global Trade Simulation Mode setting. Order action ignored. | 2015-04-11 17:15:37

.............update.
FWIW - I deleted everything , erased SC from the computer and starting again....its been a good excuse to start afresh.
Will see if I can get it going properly. I am sure its either something simple, and maybe resetting all the defaults again will do.

If 'Trade Simulation Mode On' is checked, and 'Send Orders to Trade Service' is set to Yes, there will not be any auto trading entries when using Replay Chart.

thanks - I have deactivated the 2nd instance of SC in my account.
Loaded up new SC and the replay is working fine and as expected.

Tom - thanks for the clarification. I knew that already and had tried it with 'Yes' and with 'No' and it did not seem to make a difference. It was on the few occasions I got the message, but not all the time. That was the part that was doing my head in.
Lets hope when I reload the 2 SC versions longs and shorts again with the way I was doing it all works fine (it should :))
