hi, I had a lot of disconnects with Rithmic these last few days. Everytime the connection is back all data is reloaded and my study variables are recalculated. Some of the variables are reset via a ACS button event and are persistent inside the study. Is there any way to make sure the values do not change after a reconnect? thanks, ferry |

What do you mean by "all data is reloaded"? This makes no sense. The charts are not going to reload after a reconnection to the data feed. Is there any way to make sure the values do not change after a reconnect? This is your responsibility, and we do not know what values you are referring or anything about your code. We do not have a clue about this.

after a reconnect is established data is downloaded again as it says so in my screen. my study values which i monitor through an alert message are recalculated after this download is finished. That is whats happening and I would like to understand if that is normal and if I can somehow change that reloading/recalculation. as it makes no sense to you I presume it is not normal. do you need any log output to verify what I am saying is happening, next time it happens? thanks. f |

It is normal after a reconnect for historical data to be downloaded. But certainly a full chart reload should not occur unless it is a Historical daily chart. A historical data download will not cause a recalculation of the studies in and of itself. There must be something else causing that. In any case, if for some reason a recalculate is happening, there is a definite reason why an that cannot be changed. Possibly you have references between charts? Once we know that a recalculation is actually occurring and the reason why, we should be able to give you a flag variable you can rely on in the study function to prevent something from happening that you do not want to.
