Hello,

(Usual disclaimer: my apologies if this has already been addressed - I searched without result.)

In my quest to annotate charts in the cleanest way possible, I experimented with all the options available in the "Type Text" tool. This raised two questions and I don't know whether they're bugs or simply the current implementation's known limitations:

1. In the tool's options panels, there are no mentions of borders or border color alas. However, right-clicking on an instance of text on the chart includes "Line style" and "Line width" options. Increasing width only widens the handle dots, as seen in the attached capture. No visible border "line".

2. As can also be seen in the attached capture, setting any background color only paints under the letters and not in the entire text rectangle evenly.

Is this because I'm under WINE or is this the current behavior/limitation of the text tool?

1. Text drawings do not have borders. A border only appears, when selecting a drawing. Line Style and Line Width do not apply to these types of drawings, other than apparently to the selection border.

2. Yes this is true. This will not change.

Thank you.

(FYI: my original subject was longer than this and seems to have been truncated at the first instance of '"'.)
