Hello,

I have a dedicated server running windows server 2012. I am using five installations of Sierra charts, split between them I have around 50 charts each running a study and outputting data to a text file.

I seem to be getting performance issues with some installations of sierra becoming unresponsive to the degree that I need to reboot the server.

Is sierra designed to run 24/7?
Will a study run 24/7 on each chart on each installation of sierra?
Whats the maximum number of active charts per installation?
Is there a 64bit version that will take advantage of more memory and threading.

Another option would be to rent another server to spread the load, however i thought i would ask to see if anyone else has a solution.

thanks

Andrew

Sounds like you are probably using a custom study you created. So we recommend checking the custom study for performance issues and also refer to help topic 30:

In regards to your questions, there are no limitations that you are asking about.

There is not a 64-bit version and we see no reason why it would make any difference.

Sierra Chart can run extremely fast with what you are doing. There should be 0% performance issues. We just recommend keeping the Chart Update Interval above 200 ms and while connected to your server, avoid having too many chart windows visible at once.
