Will the following work?

If I have a DTC server that only supports trading (http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCMessageDocumentation.php#TradeOrderProcedures)

I use it with SC in the following way:
1. All trading related activity will go through this server.
2. Market data will be received from a data provider supported by SC
3. The data provider might be a provider that support trading (e.g., transact)

Is this type of a scenario generally possible with DTC/SC?

This will not work:

2. Market data will be received from a data provider supported by SC

The data has to be provided over the DTC connection or a separate DTC connection. It is also possible for us to program support to use one of the Sierra Chart data services.

1. Is "SC Exchange Data" a DTC connection?

It is also possible for us to program support to use one of the Sierra Chart data services.
2. Just to be clear - you would need to do add code so that the market data provider could be any of the providers in the Data/Trade Service Settings list.

1. Yes this data can be used. It does use the DTC Protocol. Although we have to configure it.

2. We are only referring to Sierra Chart data services like SC Forex Data or SC Exchange Data.
