Here is the Custom Profile reposted. It is compiled in SC version 1729 64 bit (CustomProfile_U_64.dll) and the older 32 bit (CustomProfile_U.dll). It will work on any SC version 1729 and up. Sample chartbooks are also included in continuation post below this one.

WT,
Thanks for the downloads. The charts are now visible on my machine. It is too late to work with them today. But they will provide for some interesting experimentation.

Hi WT,
Attached is a png of your CustomProfileExample2. In looking at the study dialog box (bottom of attachment), I can't seem to locate the adjustment to make the charts look like you png's of post #75 above. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello All,

Here is an updated version that finds the overnight range correctly if you are using Asian market hours.

Compiled in SC version 1729. It should work with any later version.

Dll's on next post.

This is great but still can't get it to work. Here is what I do:

1. Open a daily chart
2. Add both studies
3. Display studies on another daily plain chart
4. Nothing happens

Clearly doing tomething wrong here... But what?

Cheers

You have to use an intraday chart. How do you get market profile to work on a daily chart?

Thx,
WT

Try the two sample chartbooks included above. If those don't work, I'll have to compile the study in the current SC version over the weekend.

@WarriorTrader,

I have been using your most recent study but have been having two issues:

1. The Profile in the Fill Space on my charge has gaps in the profile that are moving the TPO to the right. (see images attached)
2. When the chart is refreshed the historical TPOs disappear from the chart. I have to remove the study and add it back to the chart for them to reappear.

I am currently on Sierra Chart version # 2000 and was inquiring if you have an updated version of the study that resolves the issues listed above? Or if it may be the settings that are not configured correctly?

Thank You

Hello. I have not been able to trade in a while, and have suspended my subscription.

The best I can offer at this time is that it is in the settings. I recall spending hours & hours going thru several settings pages, over and over, trying to fix issues.

Never quit.

1. I do not quite understand the problem. You will have to explain it better. Did you try to set the "Reset Profile" to yes to refresh the study?

2. Again, setting the "Reset Profile" to yes could redraw the historical profiles.

I have not updated the study in a while. It is long past due. Did the example chartbook in post #77 help? Make sure your start date and overnight start date make sense. The study gets its times from those two fields.

Post some more examples so I can understand your issue. It probably has something to do with how the over night time period. The study has been around for a while - once I find the error it will be fixed quickly.

Good Luck,

@WarriorTrader,

I took some time to test the settings of the custom Profile version 1919. I am currently on Sierra Chart version 2012.

I have attached screenshots of the Chart Settings, Custom Profile Settings and how the study appears on the destination NQZ9 TPO chart.

It has been quite awhile since version 1919 and I believe the study is in need of an update to display correctly on the chart.

It's a very useful study that i hope can be updated to correct the display issues that I am experiencing.

Thank You

Hello,

I have fixed some bugs and compiled the study in SC Version 2017. It should run fine on newer versions.

I have included two example chartbooks. Just set the symbol to match your data feed.

Hello All,

Here is a updated version that has a new setting: Price Increment in Ticks

With all the volatility recently, displaying the custom profile on a remote chart can really put a strain on your CPU. Now you can reduce the CPU usage by increasing the value in this setting. If you set it to two (2) the study will only draw very other block or letter. Set it to four (4) and only ever fourth block or letter will be drawn.

The opening price will still always be marked with a different color, just as before.

All the profile information is stored as before, but not all the blocks or letters will be displayed if the Price Increment is greater than one(1).

Hello,

Here is a new version that leaves the current bar unaffected by the Price Increment setting. Only bars after the current bar will be affected. The current bar will not loose any data.

Hi Warrior,

Thanks for you're amazing work product. I really want to expand the MP TPOs. However, I'm using v2156 and I've received a message that the .dll needs to be recompliled for v2156. Can you help?

If you need some compensation just let know. We'll figure something out. Thanks.

Hello,

Here is a version compiled for SC version 2115. That should be good enough. Let me know if you have any problems.
